December 16, 2012

Whitney reading her scriptures after church.  Notice that she is no longer wearing her dress.  That seems to happen pretty quickly after we get home.  Rachel also walked around in her shirt and tights that evening.

December 15, 2012

We decorated our living room for Will's and Rachel's combined birthday party.  The sign is kind of hard to read, but it says 'Happy Birthday Rachel'.  I think they both had a great day.  Thank you family for coming to visit.

December 14, 2012

Whitney put on the little carrier and started dancing around.  Oh to be young.

December 13, 2012

Technically, I took this picture on Friday, but I made this bag on Thursday and I wanted to show it off.  Making Christmas gift bags was one of the things we could do for enrichment (I also learned how to make English toffee).  It started off as just an ordinary white bag and there were tons of fabrics and laces and beads and stickers and so much to choose from.  I am not very creative, and it has been years since I have used a hot glue gun, but I was happy with it.  Now I just need to figure out what to put in it.

December 12, 2012

So Rachel dumped out a bunch of cheerio crumbs onto the floor; Whitney wanted to 'help' me sweep them all clean.  She tends to sweep in a circle, so the mess just got more and more widespread, but it's the thought that counts.

December 11, 2012

After taking a couple of bites, Rachel decided mashed potatoes are more fun to squish between fingers than eat.

December 10, 2012

Rachel practices good hygiene.  She loves brushing her teeth, as long as she is the one doing the brushing.  But heaven forbid one of us tries to brush her teeth for her.

December 9, 2012

Rachel got to wear her Christmas dress for church.  She looked so cute and happy in it.  Whitney doesn't have a Christmas dress, but she was still happy for the picture.

December 8, 2012

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL!  We had a great birthday here in Cheney.  Will opened his presents and was happy about all of them.  Thanks for the presents everyone.

December 7, 2012

Will needed new shoes, so we went to the mall to find him two pairs of shoes for his birthday.  Then we went out to eat to really celebrate his birthday (even though it was technically on Saturday).  He got a nice pair of boots and some cool tennis shoes.

December 6, 2012

We did the letter J today for alphabet days.  I think the kids favorite part was using cookie cutters to make J into jello.  Then they got to eat the jello for snack and Whitney loved hers.  I was a little surprised.

December 5, 2012

There was a lot of rolling over the couch today by two small toddlers.

December 4, 2012

Rachel got her first taste of spaghetti and loved it.  She and Whitney both were stripped down for dinner and it was a good thing because they both got so messy.  Then they had their first ever bath together with lots of splashing and giggling, so it was fun.

December 3, 2012

It was bubbles night.  Will had the girls entertained with bubbles for awhile.

December 2, 2012

Will took a little Sunday nap before church - he is hiding under the blanket to stay warm.  Whitney sat on the table and read books to him while he slept.  It was cute.

December 1, 2012

Whitney was so happy when Will came back from work and she could eat her candy.  Rachel got a chocolate chip, so she was happy too.

November 30, 2012

We made this cute snowman out of paper plates, construction paper, and a few other odds and ends.  Whitney had fun picking out things for her snowman and is now so proud that it is hanging on our front door.

November 29, 2012

I was making a Christmas countdown chain and Whitney wanted to help. Our stapler is kind of finicky though and has to be pressed really hard to work, so it was a little more work having a helper.  But oh well, Christmas stuff is for the kids anyway.

November 28, 2012

Whitney filled up the advent calendar with hershey kisses.  We are all getting pretty excited for Christmas.

November 27, 2012

Whitney found herself the big bag of sugar and a measuring spoon to get herself some bites.  I probably should have stopped her from eating straight sugar, but I decided to get a picture instead.

November 26, 2012

Rachel was quite pleased to find the big bag of cheerios (even though she doesn't look pleased).  Thankfully, she doesn't know how to unzip yet.

November 25, 2012

The exercise machine has become more like a climbing apparatus.  The girls both love sitting on the swings.  Whitney needed a little help getting down.

November 24, 2012

Conner showed us his cool blowfish.  It looked pretty freaky with sharp spikes.  I'm glad I never have to have a run in with that at sea.

November 23, 2012

Rachel gets to know the family dog - zoey.  Rachel loved Zoey and Zoey tolerated Rachel, as long as there was a glass window protecting her from the pinching fingers of an overeager baby.  But it was cute watching Rachel try to get to the dog.

November 22, 2012

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  We had a wonderful day down in Pasco with some family.  The turkey was delicious.

November 21, 2012

Rachel in her truest element - making a mess of toys.  And look at how pleased she is with herself.

November 20, 2012

Whitney and Enoch like to push a chair up to the back of the couch and then kind of roll forward to slide down the front of the couch.  Whitney especially loves doing this and will do it even without Enoch around.  So far there have been no casualties.

November 19, 2012

We had a Family Home Evening lesson on being grateful and Whitney wanted help drawing certain things. It is hard to draw when you cannot really see the paper with a different head in the way, so the pictures were a little funny, but that is okay.

November 18, 2012

Rachel has a great love for bread lately.  I take off the crust and just give her the soft inside and she is a happy girl.  We are still working on taking smaller bites to not choke herself.

November 17, 2012

Rachel's new great love is to pull down the toilet paper.  Are roll always looks funny because we have to re-roll it so many times.

November 16, 2012

There were a couple of chocolate chips on the table that accidentally got smashed by the carseat.  Rachel found them before we cleaned them up and was helping "clean up" with her fingers and mouth.

November 15, 2012

Whitney is becoming a good kitchen helper.  Here she helps shred the chicken needed for dinner.  She was really excited to be doing it too.  I need to think of more ways to get her involved.

November 14, 2012

Rachel had another physical therapy appointment today and she did so great.  We found out that feeding her chocolate chips and turning on videos while doing the exercises seems to make her cry less.  She even let the therapist hold her for a bit.  Yeah for progress.

November 13, 2012

I didn't take many pictures today.  So here is Whitney looking out the window and Rachel playing with the exercise machine.  Not much excitement here.

November 12, 2012

Happy Veterans Day!  Thank you all who have served, or are currently serving, our country.  Whitney was invited to a birthday party at the church.  Here she is with a bunch of friends making party hats.  Whitney loves anything crafty.

November 11, 2012

Rachel in a new pretty church dress.  I love the little red flower against the black and white dress.  I think it is a perfect winter like dress.

November 10, 2012

Rachel was pretty fascinated by the snow that was on the tree.  Here she is all bundled up with Will trying to touch a branch.

November 9, 2012

As part of letter G day, the kids acted out with finger puppets the three billy goats gruff.  Whitney picked to hold up the bridge, Jess was the troll, and Emma was in charge of the goats.  They did a pretty good job.

November 8, 2012

Whitney builds a robot - or takes apart an old box.  Who really knows what is going on in that mind of hers.

November 7, 2012

It was a nice day yesterday.  I took the kids to the park.  We stopped and jumped in a pile of leaves on the way home.  Whitney loved kicking all the leaves around.

November 6, 2012

Rachel explores the bag of candy.  She couldn't open anything, but it made her very happy to be holding several pieces at one time.

November 5, 2012

The girls made pudding turkeys today.  You spread pudding on paper plates and then glue on cotton ball eyes and construction paper feathers.  The girls loved spreading the pudding - Whitney loved self cleaning afterwards.

November 4, 2012

We matched the girls dresses for Sunday. They both had purple long sleeve shirts and long green dresses.  This was the best picture we could get of them together.

November 3, 2012

Our stake has a big dance once a year for everyone.  We got a babysitter for the night and went out to dinner and the dance.  It was a lot of fun.

November 2, 2012

I made a new dessert tonight as a yummy treat.  It was cornflakes and peanut butter chips. Then you can melt chocolate or put on ice cream as toppings.  We tried both ways and also just plain and it was yummy.  It reminded me of a treat my mom use to make occasionally.

November 1, 2012

Rachel tries an orange and wasn't impressed.  They were a little sour and Rachel kept making funny faces.  But she kept wanting more - go figure.

October 31, 2012

Happy Halloween!  I plan on putting up lots of pictures of our Halloween adventures on our other blog, but just look at all this candy.  I do not know what we are going to do with it all but Whitney is super excited.  We had a great day.

October 30, 2012

It was pretty late this evening and we had a tickling fest before bedtime.  I was tickling Whitney and Rachel at the same time and both were giggling.  It was really fun.  Then I told Whitney to go tickle the camera man and he ran away.  So this is the only picture of our tickle adventures.

October 29, 2012

We carved pumpkins tonight for Family Home Evening.  Here Whitney and Rachel give their pumpkins a little attention before the big carving event.  The girls had a fun time with their pumpkins.

October 28, 2012

Will played with the aprons with Whitney and Rachel while I was busy in the kitchen.  Here he becomes a kitty robber - or something.
