April 29th, 2012
What could be better than sleeping in on a Sunday morning -with Minnie right beside you? Maybe it's having your baby sleep in so you can accomplish some things around the house. I like it whenever I have time to accomplish things.

Whitney is fascinated by sweeping. She always stands right there and wants a front row seat to watch. I don't know how kitchen floors get so dirty all the time, but Whitney gets to watch us sweep quite often. Usually, she gets a turn "sweeping" after we are done.

I love my family so much. When I get a picture of the three of them all together, I remember how much I have to be grateful for.
April 26th, 2012
This was one of Rachel's six-month shirts that I found in one of the boxes in Whitney's room. I just thought it was so cute that I had to put it on her the next day.
April 25th, 2012
I love the hats. I spent all day Wednesday going through the tons of boxes of girl clothes and organizing them into the bins I got for Christmas. One of the boxes had lots of hats. Whitney was pretty insistent that we all wear them. Rachel's one kept slipping over her eyes - poor girl. But don't the girls look cute in the hats.
April 24th, 2012
Whitney was very nice today at sharing. Whenever Rachel would get even a little upset about something, Whitney would grab the nearest toy and try to force Rachel to take it. Here Rachel examines one of those funny vibrating baby toys.
April 23rd, 2012
Today was Rachel's four month doctors appointment. She is 16 pounds 11 ounces, which puts her at the 96th percentile and she is more than half the weight of Whitney. Way to keep growing Rachel.

Will and Whitney play a finger game while I make the finishing touches on dinner - a delicious taco sald. Lately, Whitney has really liked playing 'Where is thumbkin?'

April 21, 2012
So I reached my goal of losing thirty pounds this year. Will and I wanted to celebrate, so we got a babysitter for the girls and we went to see The Hunger Games and then went out to dinner. It was a really fun date. I thought they did a good job with the movie; it stayed fairly accurate to the book and the actors were all good. And dinner was yummy too.
April 20, 2012
We went to the care center Friday evening after Will got off work. Whitney had a really fun time delivering the hearts; she was a little shy around all the people, but everyone liked the girls. All of the elderly residents kept exclaiming how cute they were. We weren't there for very long because they were just finishing up dinner and getting ready for bed, but it was still a good experience. I am glad we were able to go.
April 19, 2012
Whitney and Rachel (with help from dad) spent some time jumping on the bed. In fact, Rachel loved watching Whitney jump and she would giggle while Whitney was jumping. It was so cute.
April 18, 2012
Whitney goes for a little flying trip with a little help from Will. She was smiling and laughing the whole time, but you cannot see her face in the picture.
April 17, 2012
It almost looks like Rachel is smiling and waving for the camera. I think her little smile is very cute. I know she wasn't meaning to wave and I just caught her stretching, but oh well.
April 16, 2012
On Monday for Family Home Evening we talked about doing service. Then we made these hearts to take to the Cheney Care Center later in the week. Will did the heart cutting, Whitney did a really great job coloring, then I put a little note on each heart. And Rachel did the supervising. I thought Whitney would get bored from coloring so many hearts and we would have to do some later, but instead she was disappointed when there were no more hearts to color.
April 15, 2012
Rachel falls asleep almost immediately after church. She looks so peaceful; I wonder what little babies dream about.

Will is working hard at making a bubble blowing toy apparatus thing. You have two poles an some kind of string in between that gets dipped into the special bubble soap and then you pull the two poles apart and it is suppose to make a big bubble. We have not tried it out yet, but Will says he had something like this as a kid and it was really fun. It sounds fun.
April 13th
I stepped out of the room for a minute today and I came back to Whitney having a heart to heart with Rachel. She was showing her these cards and talking a lot about them. Whitney was mostly speaking gibberish so I don't know what she decided she needed to tell Rachel, but here are the two of them together. I think Rachel is pretty fascinated by Whitney; she is always watching her to see what crazy stuff Whitney will come up with next.
April 12th, 2012
Rachel comes so close to rolling over that I think she will get it in the next week or two. She is getting really good at keeping her head up and she seems to think tummy time is okay for a little while. She will even grab at the blanket or toys placed in front of her while she is laying there.
April 11, 2012
We went to the library for story time and I checked out a couple of kids books for Whitney and I to read when we got home. This one is my favorite. You guys should look for it in your libraries. It is pretty funny.

April 10th
I tried a new shirt on Rachel. So she is my sweet and delicious girl. I am not sure what Rachel thinks of the top because the collar keeps going up into her face, but the ladies at playgroup seemed to think it was cute. There is a pair of shorts to match the top, but it isn't quite warm enough outside for shorts.
April 8th
HAPPY EASTER! My mom made a ham and a small turkey for Easter. Nobody else was brave enough to try some of the turkey innards. I tried the liver and the gizzard; I would have tried the heart too just to say I did it, but there was no heart in this turkey. The gizzard tasted okay, but the liver had a weird aftertaste.
April 7th
Kylee and Kaitlin and Conner are all part of Family Fun Soccer, which just lets kids play soccer without the real competition. At first, there weren't a lot of people in the older kids age group, so Will went out and joined them. My dad played too but he isn't in the picture. I think they all had a fun time.
April 6th
We went back to Pasco Friday night to spend Easter with my family. It was a lot of fun. Here we are downstairs playing and Conner gave Whitney bunny ears for the picture. I don't think Whitney noticed or cared.
April 5th
The weather was okay today. So we got out some water guns and had a little water gun fight. Whitney got better and better at actually getting the water to come out of the gun - she used to just shake the gun as hard as she could. I don't know who the winner of the contest was though, so I guess we will have to play again.
April 4th
Rachel got a little ride on Will's shoulders. She didn't seem to really notice the difference, but maybe she liked being higher so she could see everything better. Give it a couple of months and she will always want to be on her dad's shoulders.
April 3rd
So I often make peanut butter sandwiches for Will to take in his lunch if we have no good leftovers. Whitney wanted to help make dad's lunch, so I got her a piece of bread and some peanut butter and a knife and she just went to town. She eventually just ate the little "sandwich" herself. good job Whitney!
April 2nd
My family came into Cheney on Monday because they wanted to hit some Spokane stores to look for my sister's prom dress. It took a couple of stores, but Kylee found a cute one at Debs in the mall. Afterwards, they stayed the night and Whitney and Conner did lots of playing. Here they both work on puzzles.

April 1st, 2012
This was kind of a funny picture in the making. Rachel absolutely refused to look at the camera. Will would move and she would turn her head in the opposite direction. This happened over and over. We were both kind of chuckling at her stubborness. So, oh well, at least one of us is looking at the camera.
March 31st
It was the first day of general conference and we decided to use a little bribery to convince a little short person in our house to listen. We told her that every time one of the general authorities used the word 'Jesus', she could have an mnm. This idea sort of worked; we got her to sit still for most of the first session. There were a couple of times when she recognized the word and would grab an mnm, but most of the time we had to prompt her. Which was just fine. It was nice being able to sit and listen to a couple of the talks in peace. This idea may have been a little advanced for her, but it was still kind of fun.
March 30th
Note to self: must tell future boyfriends of Whitney that she said she preferred the play-dough ring over my wedding ring. They could save a lot of money by nixing a normal diamond engagement ring and just proposing with a tube of play-dough. I guess we will see how she feels in 20 years.
March 29th
Will had a party at work for a lady who was quitting. They had a potato bar and I guess there were some leftovers because Will brought home a couple of baked potatoes. I wasn't sure what to do with them and I wasn't sure how long baked potatoes would last, so we ended up making potato pancakes. Sorry Will for having potatoes twice that day. I had never made them before, so I don't have a comparison, but I thought they tasted okay. A lot like hashbrowns. We had bacon and oranges to go with our 'pancakes'. Isn't the smiley face cute?
March 28th
Rachel may look like she is tipping over and that is because she is. We are working on sitting up and the bed makes for a soft landing with all the falling Rachel is doing. I think she is getting a little better, albeit slowly.
March 27th
I cannot remember where this crown came from, but Whitney liked wearing it today. I think she must have wanted to be a princess.
March 26th
Monday was not so good weather, so we had to spend the day inside. Whitney wanted to do lots of play-dough. Here is her foot put into the playdough. She really liked looking at and counting her little toes.
