I didn't take many pictures today.  Here is Whitney in her church dress eating a little leftover popcorn.  We made a bunch yesterday for the movie in the park and there was some extra that we got to take back to Cheney.  It was nice seeing Will again, we missed him on our trip.

We stayed in the Tri-Cities on Saturday and went to a movie in a park.  They had a huge screen set up and the theater was a bunch of leveled seats that were covered in grass so they would be soft.  We arrived a little early and Whitney got to watch the clown show and do some jumping on a big bouce house.  The movie "I Bought a Zoo" was pretty cute.

One of my closest friends growing up got married on Friday.  Will had to keep working, but the girls and I went down to Pasco to be part of the celebration.  The wedding was in the stake center and was really nice and fancy.  I am really happy that my friend found someone to cherish her.  They seemed very happy together.  It was a fun day.

Here Rachel is just kicking back in her pajamas.  She is really an easy baby and usually very happy.  Even during times when she gets stuck in the bumbo for awhile.

Whitney wanted a turn to read scriptures tonight.  Usually Will or I tell her a couple of words at a time and she repeats them until the verse is done.  Today, Whitney wanted to "read" from her own scriptures and she just kept going.  She was off in her own little made up story and she wouldn't let either of us do any reading until she was all done.

We had a FHE lesson on praying and Whitney gets to color a prayer rock.  I don't think she has ever made one before and she was really excited that she got to color on something besides paper.  I consider it a successful lesson when Whitney gets a little involved.

We went to a stake pioneer day on Saturday.  It was by a lake and it was a perfect day for a little dip.  Whitney loved playing in the water and we took turns swimming with her and watching Rachel up on the grass.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Whitney in the water because I didn't want to risk the camera getting wet.

We went to a science program at the library on Friday.  Unfortunately, we only got to see the first little bit because Whitney kept trying to go over the tape line that couldn't be crossed and Rachel started screaming every time the teacher turned on the loud motor.  So I am not sure what all he did, but there were a lot of cool things on the table.  It made me want to go to the Mobius Science Center.

I gave Rachel a little store magazine ad that came in the mail.  She made quick work of the paper.  It got crumpled, ripped, and chewed on.  Poor little magazine.  Rachel looks pretty proud of herself though.

While I was feeding Rachel a bottle, Whitney gave her two stuffed animals a "lesson".  She talked to them about Jesus and then she told them to be nice.  She was talking to them for a good eight minutes or so.  I thought it was a sweet lesson.

Whitney helps with some vacuuming.  Our regular vacuum broke and we haven't bought a new one yet.  Whitney loved pushing the little carpet vacuum all around the living room.

Rachel fell asleep at an awkward angle on the couch Sunday morning, so I wanted to get a picture. But she woke up at the sound of the camera turning on.  Oh well.  At least now we have a picture of her all stretched out and smiling.

Today was the Cheney Jubilee - kind of a little festival that comes before the big rodeo.  We were out of town last year so this was our first time going.  It was a lot of fun.  Here Whitney gets her face painted with a little heart.

It was "bowling" night.  This time Rachel got involved as well.  She couldn't really push the "pin", but she thought watching Whitney do the pushing was a funny sight to behold.

We did chalk today.  I wrote some messages for Will on the stairs so he could see them coming home from work.  Whitney kept asking me what I was drawing.  She loved the chalk (we went out again later that same day to draw some more).

There was a free concert at the park today.  The music was mostly old style blue grass, but Whitney didn't seem to mind.  Here she is dancing with the music.  She and I did some dancing together right there on the grass.  The rest of the crowd thought she was pretty cute.

We had these stacking rings back hiding in Whitney's room.  I think this is the first time Rachel got to play with them.  She really liked trying to eat the red one, but it didn't quite fit in her mouth the way she wanted it to.

We went camping this weekend.  It has been two years since we have gone and we had fun.   It was beautiful weather for our short trip.  Whitney loved the tent.  We have a huge eight man tent and Whitney loved running around in the "little house".

Any parent will tell you that when their child is playing quietly for far too long by themselves in the bathroom, it is time to investigate.  I discovered that Whitney had gotten a big pot and was filling it with water.  She would take a mouthful of water from her sippy cup and then spit that into the pot.  And she did it over and over again.  I also found little pieces of toilet paper in the pot for good measure.

Whitney impressed me today with her scrabble game.  She managed to get it out and open and place letters in a very orderly box fashion without my knowledge.  She can be very quiet when she is getting into something she knows may be off limits.

Happy 4th of July!  Will got some great pictures of the fireworks we saw at Riverfront Park.  The camera has a special setting for fireworks that Will used.  The firework show was really impressive.  It was a fun day and we were even able to get out of the park without getting trampled on or anything.

You cannot tell from the picture, but Whitney and I are dancing.  We turned on some music and all had a dancing night.  Rachel mostly just watched from the couch, but Will and Whitney and I really went to town.  I think we were all tired afterward.

Kind of a funny picture of Whitney brushing her teeth.  It use to be a terrible battle to get Whitney to allow us to brush her teeth every night, now we let her use the toothbrush herself and just watch real carefully to make sure she is brushing everywhere.  Life is a lot easier that way.

Rachel wore this cute I HEART the USA dress to church.  We forgot to get a picture of her wearing it though and I was too lazy to put it back on her after she was in pajamas.  So you get the next best thing - her holding the dress.  It really was cute and got lots of compliments in church.

We had a picnic at the park and then Whitney played a little bit in the wading pool.  Last time we tried the pool, Whitney hated it so she only barely got her ankles wet.  This time, Whitney loved the pool and got drenched when she accidentally slipped and went all the way under the water.  We got out after that because Whitney was crying.  So I got all wet from having her cling to me.  Oh well.  Will rushed home to get some new clothes for Whitney and then we went swinging and down slides, so I think Whitney still liked being at the park.

The library had a special kids program on Friday.  A guy and his two daughters travel around the country doing little childrens programs.  He plays the guitar and sings funny kid songs.  Whitney started dancing with the other kids (which never happens, so she must have really liked the music).  Rachel was less impressed when the kids would get really loud laughing, but it was still lots of fun.

It was bubble night.  Whitney is really good at blowing bubbles now; I think she gets a lot of practice in nursery.  Rachel liked watching Whitney pop the bubbles.

Rachel has two little teeth nubs starting and they have been bothering her a little bit.  So we gave her some popsicle for the first time.  She loved the popsicle and was upset when it was all gone.  I think it made her teeth feel a bit better too because she got less fussy for awhile.

We went to a friend's birthday party.  It was a family that Will home teaches who was having a party for their son turning one.  So there were lots of little kids there.  Whitney loved this swimming pool full of balls.
