Apr. 30th

Setting up a tent in the backyard for a "camp out".  Rachel has been wanting to do this for a couple weeks, but we needed to wait for it to warm up a little bit.

Apr. 29th

I just had to get a picture of our trees/bushes in our side yard.  The flowers smell so good.  I wish it would last all year, instead of just a couple weeks.

Apr. 28th

Adam and Hannah share a bed.  They each have their own but they like to share.  And they always stay up reading books.  It is cute.

Apr. 27th

Whitney and I made homemade cinnamon bagels for dinner.  It was another recipe in my new cookbook.  The bagels were time consuming, but not particularly hard.  I might try the cheese bagel next time.

Apr. 26th

It is hard to tell because of the sunlight but Rachel is eating a smoothie popsicle.

Apr. 25th

We made a family flag for FHE.

Apr. 24th

We went to the dinosaur park in Washington for the day.  We went with my sister's family and it was really fun.  There were so many dinosaurs for the kids to climb on.

Apr. 23rd

Whitney checks out her new science-y toy.

Apr. 22nd

Adam got this shirt from preschool.  He loves it, especially since it can change colors.

Apr. 21st

I made a bunch of chocolate-dipped peanut butter cookies for a funeral in the ward.  Everyone seemed to like the cookies; I will have to make more next time.

Apr. 20th

Some cute kiddos.

Apr. 19th

We played Villainous together after Adam and Hannah were in bed.

Apr. 18th

Will's parents came to visit us before heading to Vancouver.  It was great spending time with them.

Apr. 17th

A fun day in Stanfield.  We immediately met some dinosaurs. Adam and Hannah decided they didn't want to get close enough for the picture.

Apr. 16th

Rachel spent the evening engrossed in her Frozen book.

Apr. 15th

This Lego board is split into four quadrants and has been one of our best summer time reading program prizes ever received.  The kids spent a long time building with Legos today.

Apr. 14th

The Umatilla library put on a story walk.  We went to the walk and then the kids got to make bird feeders out of pinecones.  They also each got to pick a book.  So it was fun getting some exercise and doing some reading together, both are some of my favorite things.

Apr. 13th

Our RS activities this year have all been about being prepared.  This one we talked about gardening and water purifying.  We each planted some tomato and lettuce seeds.  Unfortunately, mine were in the backyard and got knocked over multiple times.  Oh well.

Apr. 12th

We made some homemade drumsticks for FHE treat because someone, couldn't have been me, forgot to buy the requested treat at the store.  Thankfully, we had cones, vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and peanuts.  So the day was saved.

Apr. 11th

It was turn your socks into hand puppets day.  Then it turned into wrestle with your hand puppets day.

Apr. 10th

Will and the missionaries were the only ones to show up at a last minute service project - concrete breaking.  I guess the missionaries really wanted some pictures of themselves swinging the big sledgehammers.  Anyway, I asked Will to go because it was for an inactive lady I minister to and I thought it would be a good gesture.

Apr. 9th

Rachel and her friend being goofy on Facebook messenger.

Apr. 8th

Whitney is the queen of photobombing.

Apr. 7th

Rachel and Megan dressed up like Mickey and Minnie Mouse and put on a little hunt for Adam and Hannah.  It was cute.  And Adam and Hannah found all the lost pets.

Apr. 6th

Eying all that candy.  We give out fun size candy bars for conference Bingo prizes; yet we forgot to hand them out right after conference was over.  The kids were very eager to choose a few candy bars.

Apr. 5th

I got a new cookbook and we decided to try one of the recipes - baked pickle slices.  The kids made an assembly line and got the pickles all dredged and ready to go really quickly.  These pickles were so good dipped in ranch.  I can't wait to make them again.

Apr. 4th

Will and I have never had to roast a turkey, ever.  We have always been at my parents' house for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  My mom let us borrow their turkey roaster and we enjoyed some yummy Turkey and rolls and potatoes for Easter dinner.  I think the turkey turned out pretty well.

Apr. 3rd

Today was the first day of General Conference, which was amazing.  It was also Hannah's first day of wearing big girl underwear.  With spring break the following week, we decided to potty train Hannah.  There were some good and some bad days.  But we got through it.  Hannah still doesn't like being told to go potty though.  So we aren't quite 100% there yet.

Apr. 2nd

We filled some Yoshi eggs and regular Easter eggs with candy.  The kids were a big help filling eggs, although some candy may have made it into tummies ahead of schedule.

Apr.1st

I came home from Parent Teacher conferences to a huge mess for April Fool's Day.  There was toilet paper and different yarn all over the place.  It was like a two hour job to re-roll all that yarn.  I'm glad April Fool's Day only comes around once a year.
